Are YanbuMade Yak cheese chews suitable for all dogs?
Our Yak cheese chews are a natural, long-lasting alternative to many other dog treats. We recommend introducing chews to dogs over 12 weeks of age. If you are unsure whether a Yak cheese chew is suitable for your dog, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before feeding it.
Why are some Yak cheese chews darker or lighter in color?
Our Yak cheese chews are made using natural ingredients and traditional methods. As a result, some chews may be darker or lighter than others. The colour can vary depending on the natural ingredients and the drying and smoking process. These differences are normal and may vary from one batch to another.
Are dogs allowed to have lactose?
While our Yak cheese chews contain very little lactose, some dogs may be lactose intolerant. Signs of lactose intolerance can include gas or diarrhea. If your dog shows these symptoms after consuming dairy products, we recommend avoiding dairy products, including our Yak cheese chews, and consulting your veterinarian.
What should I do with the remaining end pieces?
When a small piece remains from a chew, it can become a choking hazard for your dog. The remaining piece can be heated in the microwave for approximately 45–60 seconds so that it puffs up. Allow it to cool completely before giving it to your dog as a crunchy treat. Always supervise your dog while they are enjoying any treat.

Yes, our Yak cheese chews have a long shelf life. Most chews can last for several years when stored properly. Keep them in an airtight package and away from excessive heat, cold, and moisture. Too much moisture can cause the chews to develop mould, while improper storage can make them dry and brittle.
